WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Christian Employers Alliance (CEA), is proud to announce the appointment of Rudy Olivo, Co-Founder of Shepherd’s Capital, a private equity firm that acquires family businesses, to its Board of Directors. A purpose-driven strategist and transformational leader, Olivo brings more than a decade of experience driving growth, operational excellence, and strategic innovation across the public, private, and government sectors.
Olivo currently serves as Co-Founder of Shepherd’s Capital, where he oversees investment strategy and portfolio growth with a focus on long-term value creation. Known for his ability to navigate complex challenges with clarity and conviction, he has built a career on scaling organizations, optimizing operations, and fostering healthy, high-performing teams.
Prior to launching his private equity firm, Olivo served as Segment Vice President of Strategy at Gray, Inc., a $5 billion industrial construction company. There, he led the development of enterprise strategy, spearheaded the company’s in-plant project model generating over $3.3 million in new business within six months, and guided initiatives projected to deliver more than $800 million in profit growth by 2030.
Earlier in his career, Olivo held senior leadership roles in the U.S. Department of Labor and the Office of the Vice President of the United States, where he directed high-impact economic and workforce initiatives, including programs that helped safeguard over five million American jobs and reduced healthcare costs for small businesses by up to 40%.

Olivo is bilingual in English and Spanish and holds a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. He is also an active member of the Deloitte Chief Strategy Officer Network and C12 Business Forums.
